Our History

James "Jimbo" Mandra grew up on the south side of Chicago where he acquired a taste for quality, thin-crust pizza. When his family relocated to the southwest suburbs, Jimbo went into severe distress. He desperately tried to find a pizza with similar qualities he loved. Unable to fulfill his passion, Jimbo decided to take matters into his own hands... literally. Jimbo began experimenting on family, creating pizzas of his own recipe. The pizzas were an instant hit and requests were made for "pizza parties" for nearly all family functions. Word of Jimbo's delicious thin crust pizza spread and soon friends of family were requesting "half-baked" pizzas, which were frozen for later use. As demand for the "half-baked" pizzas quickly grew, Jimbo decided that maybe he should offer his delicious thin crust pizza right out of the oven!

In 1998 Jimbo's Pizza was opened in Lemont, Illinois and Jimbo began to serve his south-side authentic recipe to residents of the suburbs. Using only the finest ingredients and NEVER sacrificing quality, Jimbo's Pizza has steadily grown throughout the years. Jimbo is fired up about the future expansion of his dream. Yet, no matter how large Jimbo's Pizza becomes, customer satisfaction will be his highest priority. Stay tuned, the best is yet to come!
